1.) It’s an asyndeton, it lists different struggles the writer had as a child.

 2.) He still love books even though he is indian.

3.) It looks into Alexie’s childhood, as if we are in his head..

4.) He is trying to forget his childhood like it is someone else’s

5.) Indians used short precise sentences, like his heritage.

6.) It is in two parts like the two parts of his life.  It was very effective. 

7.) It reminded him of how other kids used to be.  It is used in a way that he is almost focusing more on them.

8.) The audience is obviously anyone who might be not very interested in reading. He uses pathos in the last paragraph, to make people who don’t care about writting feel guilty.
