“We can Afford to Give Parents a Break” by Jody Heyman is a great story which uses many patterns of arrangement based mostly on facts, as well as counterarguments. Starting of course with an introduction she adresses the issue at hand, being how the government treats mothers. Shortly after she talked about her maternity leave, in detail, which of course is narration, as well as using confirmation, and refutation through out the piece. Finally, she closes her last paragraph with a conclusion, that wraps everything up.Last, Jody Heyman uses one paragraph to conclude her essay.
